The G20 Leaders Summit is drawing nearer, and the administration is working nonstop to get ready for the major gathering. World leaders from all across the world, including US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, will attend the event.

The administration has decided to keep all banks closed in New Delhi from September 8 through September 10 due to the bustling activities in the city around the G20 Summit.

The G20 Leaders Summit will take place in Pragati Maidan, where Delhi Police has practiced mock drills recently. They have also practiced outside other hotels where the dignitaries will be staying. Special drills were conducted by the security services in the run-up to the G20 summit.

Delhi has five-star hotels reserved.

The major G20 summit is being held in India, and well-known world leaders like Joe Biden, Xi Jinping, Emanual Macron, and Justin Trudeau will fly into New Delhi for the summit.

According to reports, dignitaries have reserved rooms at prestigious 5-star hotels such ITC Maurya, Taj Palace, The Oberoi, The Lodhi, The Imperial, and Le Meridien.

The high hotel rates are a problem for the representatives of the separate missions of the countries. For its nicest suite, a hotel in Aerocity was charging $20 lakh a night. For comparison, the top suites in hotels during the 2021 G20 summit in Rome were going for a little over 4 lahks a night, while the average price for suites during the 2017 G20 Summit in Bali was in the neighborhood of 1.5 lahks,"

one of the aforementioned sources told Hindustan Times.

The Delhi administration has also declared September 8-10 as school holidays. According to the directives that have not yet been approved by the LG, all city government, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, and private offices will be shuttered.
